TB001:
Auxiliary Water Pump Installation: This update is optional but is recommended for vehicles used extensively on circuit / track days as it avoids the possibility of excessively high engine temperatures on pit entry or boiling of the engine coolant following a spin / stall on circuit. Additionally, vehicles which are used predominantly in city traffic in high ambient temperatures may also benefit from this update as the 06A 20V engine water pump speed is relatively low by design at idle engine speeds.

Alternative Position For Coolant Temperature Sensor: This bulletin is an FYI only. Several builders of Boosters have requested an option for an alternative position for the coolant temperature sensor to aid in future serviceability etc. as the standard kit position does not allow for sensor removal without dropping the engine approx 75mm. There is now a kit available which contains the parts required to relocate the coolant temperature sensor and this bulletin details installation of these parts.

3D Printed Engine Cover Insert Mould Tooling: This bulletin is an FYI only. Various solutions have been implemented for modification of the engine cover to clear the rear of the 20V cam cover in Booster applications. This release provides 3D Printable mould tooling to allow composite bond in elements to be manufactured from commonly available materials to modify the engine cover for clearance.

987.1 CANBus .DBC File: The 987.1 uses CANBus to communicate various data from the engine controlled to the dash display and chassis systems. Without this data on the CANbus the chassis systems will not operate properly. This .DBC file contains what we believe is the minimum viable data set required to for the 987.1 systems to operate with an aftermarket ECU and is provided to aid with ECU integration with the 987.1 when repowering the vehicle with a VAG 20V engine using the Booster fit kit.
