The 2.7L 2000MY 986 is almost the same as the 2.5L but uses eGas throttle as standard, as a result it has loads of wiring changes - mainly as a result of using a later Bosch ECU. This ECU integrates many chassis functions directly into the ECU connectors.

The 2.7L Additional Kit includes all the required parts to support these later cars, including an adaptor box which plugs directly into the original chassis loom so you can easily integrate the VAG ME7.5 loom.

Note: This kit is only compatible with 2.7L 986 Boxsters which use the earlier (common with 2.5L) dashboard dispay. If in doubt, ask!

Note: This is not a complete fit kit. This SKU provides the compoents required to use the enhanced fit kit with a 2000MY 2.7L 986, it is only available to order when ordering a kick off kit or an enhanced kit.
Ordering this will get you:

  • Chassis harness interface box which breaks out the required chassis harness connectors from the Porsche chassis loom to 2 X DTM 12 connectors.

  • 2 X DTM12 connectors to terminate off the VAG ME7.5 wiring harness to allow connection to the chassis harness interface box.

  • Additional instruction pack which superceeds the wiring section of the original build manual.
